This rare shot shows one of the planets used in the series. The image has not been compromised with the repeated optical printings of adding stars, space ships and titles and therefore much more detail, wider range of contrast and color is revealed. Click on the picture to view a larger version.
How the Organians really left. When shooting an effects scene it's not uncommon for the actors to leave the scene while the camera continues to roll to aquire footage for a background plate.
The edge of the set by Spock's station can clearly be seen in this clip. Although mentioned numerous times in books and articles here we can now see how the bridge was built with removable sections allowing space for camera and lighting equipment.
